Kohl’s Department Store and many other publicized retailers are Profitable by the Use of Sweatshop Labor.
“Activists from the National Labor Committee have been traveling across the country demonstrating against the Kohls Department Store chain, headquartered outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These demonstrations immediately followed the deportation of Charles Kernaghan of the National Labor Committee, Bishop Thomas Gumbleton and other anti-sweatshop activists from Managua, Nicaragua. The group spent four days interviewing workers of the Chentex and Mil Clores sweatshop, which produces blue jeans for Kohls, as well as K-Mart, Wal-Mart and JC Penney.”

I am unaware of any official response from the Kohls corporate headquarters at this time and I wouldnt expect to hear anything released officially in any circumstance short of the 6 ‘o clock news.
Even still there are steps that we can take, small yes, yet ultimatley very useful to this mind obsession where the mentality is consumerism at any cost.
- Do not fall for over dressed nor under dressed corporate products claiming to be “all natural”, “new!”, or “environmentally safe”.
Do not fall for products advertised as “low-fat”, “cholesteral lowering”, “__ diet friendly”, or any other such chemically induced non-sense.
Beware of chemical names being changed to a lesser known (more complex?) marking so that they will be more or less invisible to the average consumers eye.
Take some time to meditate or think about what is really “natural” these days, consider what it is that really fuels the human body, mind, and spirit. By the way, please, come to your own conclusions.
Take the time to familurize yourself and your family with the corporate structure, do some research and discover for yourself who owns and ultimatley opperates these power structures.
Throw away your television. This device has been infiltraded and will in my opinion only rapidly fuel your lust for consumerism.
Take advantage of the internet as well as your constitutional rights; through various de-classifications and freedom of information acts there is new information available though thouroughly tucked away.
The Newest News will not be on the Television but within the Imagination of the people.
As i was searching throught the videos on you tube for child labor content i feel compelled to say that there is a wealth of complete and total misinformation floating about. These children and young adults seem to either be interested in creating humor out of their information or to ellude that this was a situation of the past. Many of these instances where for school homework even!
